IFPRA International Qualification Scheme

Sample Titles of Projects for IFPRA Qualification

The following are examples of Titles on which Projects could be based. Please note that these are only examples and should not be considered exhaustive :-

Certificate Level

  • A survey of customer satisfaction with the Parks Service, with recommendations for service enhancements and improved customer care.
  • The development and implementation of a comprehensive in-house training programme for all staff involved in the administration of a Park and Visitor Centre.
  • An examination of the feasibility of developing a promotional package to highlight the Park and Recreational facilities available in the area for new residents, business visitors and tourists.
  • An analysis of the use of computers and information technology within the Parks and Recreation Department and recommendations for improvements and developments in the use of such technology that would result in increased efficiency and improved standards of service.
  • A proposed business plan and marketing strategy for a new Country Park.

Diploma Level

  • A study of the level and location of local recreational provision, in association with car ownership and public transport availability, with costed recommendations for a Parks and Recreation Service response.
  • An assessment of non-conventional amenity landscape management techniques, aimed at increasing landscape quality and wildlife diversity at reduced maintenance cost, with cost recommendations for their introduction.
  • An investigation and development of a strategic plan to increase usage of the Country Park, including the production of sample programmes which reflects the market segment.
  • An examination of the effectiveness of Waterways Management in the Water Authority and recommendations for improvements and developments.
  • The management of change in the Parks Department; an analysis of the effectiveness of the tourism and leisure programme to date and recommendations for future improvements
